The Institute of Metabolic Science offers a world class environment for research in obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Training graduate students for a scientific career is a priority at the IMS-MRL. We have a mixture of both basic science students and clinical trainees and aim to provide everyone with a supportive, stimulating research and learning environment.
We offer:
- a full-time taught MPhil in Obesity, Endocrinology & Metabolism providing the highest quality postgraduate training in the physiology and pathophysiology of energy balance and metabolism, as well as in new and emerging treatments for obesity and related metabolic diseases (e.g., type 2 diabetes).
- both funded PhD programmes and a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry
