Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life forever.

Behind the scenes in the IMS-MRL, there are lots of inspirational people who work very hard to support the success of our Institute and our science. This might include managing core facilities, keeping essential services running, or providing kindness and support to a colleague in need.
We invited nominations over the summer of 2022 and every month we will announce each recipient and celebrate their excellent work and support as an inspirational IMS-MRL staff member.
Employees of the month will be celebrated at a short award ceremony at our staff Away Day.
October 2023

Deb Rimmington, Research Assistant & Lab Co-ordinator
I would like to nominate Deb for Employee of the Month because she is amazing. She looks after us all in the COY group, she is our lab co-ordinator (and our party organiser), mouse expert and top scientist. Her mouse knowledge is second to none and she regular advises and trains others.
Deb makes the IMS-MRL a great place to work because she is the best, super fun, professional, unflappable and kind.

Danielle Jones, Research Assistant & PhD student
I would like to nominate Danielle for Employee of the Month because she is consistently positive and a valued colleague. She is always willing to help and goes out of her way to explain things and truly embodies the organisational behaviours of the IMS. She is a true ambassador for young women in science.
Danielle makes the IMS-MRL a great place to work because she is consistently positive in her outlook to her work and to the team. She is polite, efficient and holds herself to a high standard. She is a pleasure to work with we are grateful that we have her as a colleague.
