Research focus

My focus is to support research investigating how the brain senses and responds to nutrients and energy availability, and how these processes influence metabolic health.

Background and experience

I provide practical and technical support for in vivo studies, helping to generate reliable data and contribute to a better understanding of the mechanisms that regulate energy balance and metabolism.

Working at the IMS-MRL

My role includes supporting experimental procedures, monitoring animal welfare, maintaining accurate records and assisting researchers with the collection of reliable data. I work closely with members of the group to ensure the day-to-day running of in vivo studies is efficient and well organised.

Through my role, I contribute to research aimed at understanding the mechanisms that regulate energy balance, appetite and metabolism, and how nutrient sensing in the brain influences whole-body metabolic health. I enjoy the practical and collaborative nature of in vivo research and contributing to research that helps advance our understanding of metabolic health.
