The Butterfield Studentship for research related to diabetes was established with funding donated under the will of Verena Nan Robertson McCririck.
The income from this donation is used to provide the Butterfield Studentship, in honour of Lord Butterfield of Stechford, M.D., formerly Regius Professor of Physic and Master of Downing College. The studentship is open to anyone who is, or is about to be, registered as a Graduate Student in the University.
In 2019, one prize will be awarded to students who have either undertaken or propose to undertake a 12-month project. A further prize will be awarded for projects of up to 3 months.
