Fat sensing and the brain control of puberty
24-26 October 2022
Baeza, Spain
The overall goal of this workshop is to provide the most incisive and up-to-date overview of the current research in the fields of organismal growth,
food intake control, metabolism, and puberty, with a particular focus on the mechanisms whereby metabolic signals (specially those originating from
fat, as major form of energy storage) influence and shape pubertal maturation.
This workshop will bring together a unique combination of fifteen internationally recognised research leaders, with complementary expertise in these related fields.
Speakers from Cambridge include Professors Steve O’Rahilly, Sadaf Farooqi and Ken Ong (MRC-Epidemiology Unit)
