Congratulations to Claire Meek who recently won both the Young Investigator Award and the Pregnancy Special Interest Group Award at the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Scientific Sessions in New Orleans. Dr Meek is a principal investigator at the IMS-MRL where she runs the diabetes in pregnancy research group. She also works as an honorary diabetes in pregnancy physician and chemical pathologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Claire said:

It was a real delight to be back at the ADA Scientific Sessions, considered the most influential diabetes conference internationally. It was a privilege to receive these two awards. Science is a team sport, and I’m really grateful for the support of my team, my colleagues in the IMS-MRL and my collaborators, who have worked so hard to advance knowledge in our field.
