Wellcome PhD Programme for Clinicians
This programme is extremely diverse and draws together research scientists from across many different departments and institutes: Cambridge Institute for Medical Research, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, Departments within the Schools of Clinical Medicine and Biological Sciences, the Brain Repair Centre, the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, the Institutes of Metabolic Science, Public Health, Stem Cell Biology, Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience, the MRC Cancer Cell Unit, the Cancer Research UK Institute, the Babraham Institute and the Department of Veterinary Medicine within the University of Cambridge. In addition, researchers from departments and institutes throughout the biomedical campus of the University of East Anglia and the Norwich Research Park are also involved in the programme.
Within these institutes and departments, we have 158 high quality Principal Investigators across 8 defined themes, committed to train our fellows.
