We are accepting applications for studentships to start in October 2019
Application deadline, Thurs 13 Dec 2018
Please read the FAQs carefully before applying.
All applications must be made via the University’s online Applicant Portal
We advise all applicants to apply as early as possible and recommend you do not wait until the day of the deadline to submit your application.
Please note: The University application fee allows you to apply for up to three different PhD programmes/courses – as long as they all have the same starting term, the fee will be automatically waived in your 2nd and 3rd applications.
You will be asked to name two referees on the Applicant Portal. At least one of these should be able to comment on your practical/project work. Both referees will be contacted automatically for their references, so please ensure you provide their correct email addresses. You should contact your referees as early as possible in the application process, before submitting your application, asking for permission to include their names and agreement to submit their reference within the allotted time.
We welcome applications from UK/EU and non-EU (international) candidates. Wellcome provide funding for fees at the UK/EU rate, and the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust supplement the funding for successful international candidates to cover the difference between UK/EU and international fees. All studentships are fully funded, there is no need to apply for additional funding to be considered for this PhD programme.
Interviews will be held between 21-23 January 2019
